This page sets out how to read what DecodeStocks publishes: what does not follow from it, what the analyses rest on, the limits of the data, and the risks that remain.
General information
The content is addressed to an indefinite group of users. It is not tailored to the investment objectives, risk tolerance or financial situation of any individual, and DecodeStocks carries out no suitability assessment — at no point is it checked whether a security or an assessment is suitable for a particular user.
Independence and conflicts of interest
DecodeStocks produces its assessments independently of the companies they cover. There are no fees, benefits or other arrangements with the companies assessed, no paid placements and no sponsored content: which securities are shown, and in what order, cannot be paid for. DecodeStocks holds no securities positions of its own, executes no orders and arranges no securities transactions. There are no commission or referral arrangements with brokers or trading venues. DecodeStocks’ commercial interest lies in paid subscriptions — part of the assessments is fully accessible to paying users only. We obtain market data from external data providers. The licence and procurement costs this incurs are borne by DecodeStocks. Those providers have no influence on the content or the outcome of the assessments. Third parties linking to DecodeStocks may do so together with a discount code for visitors. Such links concern the subscription and never an individual stock or assessment.
Model-based assessments
The Fundamentals Score, the category scores and the market comparison are rule-based classifications of selected financial metrics under the published DecodeStocks methodology. They assess neither a stock’s personal suitability nor its expected future return, and they do not determine a time to buy or sell. Rankings compare only the Fundamentals Score within the comparison group stated alongside them. AI-assisted company analyses are generated automatically from the sources shown and are not editorially reviewed before publication; they contain no buy, sell or hold recommendation and no price targets or price forecasts.
Portfolio and watchlist
Portfolio and watchlist analytics describe only the positions the user selected and their historical and current data. DecodeStocks derives no personal recommendation to buy, sell or rebalance from them. No assessment of personal investment objectives, risk tolerance or capacity to bear losses takes place.
Data and timeliness
Data, calculations and presentations may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. Price, company and financial data are obtained from external sources. Certain metrics, analyses and scores are calculated by DecodeStocks on the basis of this data. Market data is not provided in real time.
Risks
Past performance and model-based assessments are not reliable indicators of future results. Investing in equities involves the risk of loss, up to and including the total loss of the capital invested.
